Methods Agent

Under the responsibility of the industrialization service manager, the methods agent ensures the preparation and development of the execution of various orders before their production. He also assumes the logistics of manufacturing methods and the elements related to them.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• College diploma or bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering combined with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a methods agent position in the aerospace sector;
• Proficiency in the Office suite;
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes;
• Knowledge of the "SolidWorks" software or any other relevant software;
• Advanced knowledge of technical drawing;
• Problem-solving skills;
• Demonstrate rigor, meticulousness, and organization;
• Possess political skills;
• Possess interpersonal and collaborative skills;
• Knowledge of the AS9100 standard (asset).

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Identify the tooling requirements for the production of parts;
• Design and produce the required devices and tools used for manufacturing and inspection of orders;
• Validate the tracking sheets ("travelers"), in accordance with internal and external requirements;
• Ensure the maintenance and follow-up of processes related to products;
• Prepare, validate, and control production files, in collaboration with the industrialization team, if necessary;
• Write various inspection reports and documentation related to production;
• Act as the responsible for the approval of first pieces and complete the documentation related to them;
• Act as a technical support for all personnel and clients involved in the product realization process;
• Participate in technical meetings to work on improving product performance and ways of doing things in the service;
• Lead multidisciplinary meetings for the development of production processes;
• Develop and coordinate the work plan, concerning the methods domain, for development projects, to ensure deadlines are met and resources are used efficiently;
• Suggest an effective distribution of tasks within the work team, in collaboration with the industrialization service manager;
• Participate in employee training and integration within the work team;
• Participate in continuous improvement work and ensure that work methods and ways of doing things in the service are always improved.

Conditions

• Salary: Between $32.02 to $48.02 per hour, depending on the candidate's or candidate's experience and skills;
