Bookkeeper

Job Overview

Detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. Handle day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, reconcile accounts, and assist with financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping activities including recording transactions using QuickBooks
• Maintain and update accounts payable and accounts receivable records to ensure timely payments and collections
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify account accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Conduct account analysis to monitor financial health and support budgeting processes
• Assist with payroll processing by ensuring accurate data entry and compliance with relevant regulations
• Prepare detailed financial reports and summaries for management review
• Support month-end closing procedures by reconciling ledger accounts and preparing necessary documentation

Qualifications

• Proven experience with QuickBooks with a minimum of 5 years of extensive expertise, preferably in the transport industry.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, receivable, and account reconciliation
• Knowledge of payroll processing and related compliance requirements
• Familiarity with bank reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting processes
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team
• Proficiency in English and French is required
• Pay: $52,000.00-$59,000.00 per year
