Main Role
The main role and usual task consists of preparing and making available to the concerned persons, the material, documents and equipment required from precise directives.
Characteristic Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, distributes and ships various documents, materials and mail.
- Performs moves and arrangements in rooms, workshops, etc. and ensures that all material, furniture, equipment are in place.
- Operates common equipment such as photocopier, rear projector, projector, etc.
- Sorts documents, files and others.
- Makes the material preparation of documents.
- Provides general information related to his/her field of activities.
- Ensures the feeding, maintenance of equipment, and in case of major problem, takes appropriate measures to remedy.
- Ensures the maintenance of the inventory of supplies in his/her field and prepares orders.
- Performs errands and the delivery of documents.
- Sells or rents material and keeps a cash register.
- Completes different forms and writes reports related to his/her work.

For office tools, practical knowledge of a recognized software in each family of office tools will be considered sufficient.
The regular and temporary employee who does not meet the normal requirements of the position may supplement as follows:
- each year of missing relevant education can be compensated by two (2) years of relevant experience acquired at the University of Laval or with another employer;
- each year of missing relevant education can be compensated by one (1) year of education at the same or higher level in the same field of study as required;
- each year of missing relevant experience can be compensated by one (1) year of additional relevant education in the same field of study as required.

For Information
Under the authority of the executive director and in collaboration with the faculty and department secretaries, the person will have to respond to various requests, some of which are mentioned below without being exhaustive.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Installs and uninstalls material and furniture during various faculty or departmental events
- Prepares rooms for accommodation sessions
- Ensures and maintains the inventory of the faculty warehouses (furniture, paper, etc.)
- Assists with handling during the delivery of packages
- Prepares paper carts upon department request
- Ensures coordination during moves
- Participates in the sorting of various documents for archiving
- Ensures the delivery of material between the different rooms and buildings of the faculty
- Performs various manual tasks authorized

Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Sporadic needs of 14 to 21 hours per week according to the needs of the service.
