In this role, you will be responsible for executing sales objectives for new and used vehicles, while developing and implementing effective sales plans for your team. Your main tasks will include tracking performance indicators, converting prospects (leads) into sales, and building customer relationships to increase the dealership's market presence. You will also focus on team development, compliance with company policies, and promoting a safe work environment. The ideal candidate has 3 to 5 years of experience in sales management in an automotive dealership, strong leadership skills, and a results-oriented mindset. What will drive your days:

  • Execute short, medium, and long-term sales objectives for new and used vehicles.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to help your team achieve monthly and annual goals.
  • Contribute to ideas and participate in the development of the dealership's marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Ensure successful conversion of "iLeads" into sales.
  • Track your team's performance indicators (KPIs), including sales and customer experience metrics.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with our valuable customers to promote the dealership's brand image.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of growth strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Build a strong team to fully execute the sales strategy.
  • Develop and encourage positive working relationships with all associates and partners.
  • Achieve financial results while ensuring compliance with company policies and corporate governance.
  • Promote professional development within a team where each member is held accountable for their results.
  • Lead, demonstrate, and promote a healthy and safe work environment by ensuring all safety standards are communicated and followed.
  • Other related tasks.

Essential qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales management in an automotive dealership.
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (an asset).
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent understanding of dealership accounting practices, budgeting, and expense management.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent personnel management skills (leadership, coaching, mentoring, and supervision).
  • Sharp diplomatic skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior management.
  • Impeccable organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities, accomplish various tasks, and meet deadlines and objectives.
  • Person of high integrity, reliable, and committed to their responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail, autonomy, and resourcefulness.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, results-oriented, and career-driven.
  • Experience with CRM or other automotive software (an asset).
  • Understanding of provincial safety code requirements for dealerships.
