Overview

The Investor Relations Analyst position is primarily responsible for supporting the Investor Relations function. The incumbent will be mainly dedicated to Investor Relations activities, while providing support to the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and developing knowledge of financial systems, processes, and internal reporting activities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional early in their career to gain experience in both external financial communication and internal financial planning, enabling them to develop a comprehensive understanding of how financial performance is analyzed, communicated, and presented to financial markets.

Your Role *Supporting Financial Results and Financial Information:*

  • Actively participate in the quarterly results publication process, contributing to their preparation, coordination, and execution.
  • Assist in preparing Investor Relations communication materials, website updates, and deliverables following results publication.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate and timely production of information.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including gathering data for the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) report.
  • Ensure timely and accurate production of financial performance reports and other key indicators.
  • Support the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team in certain analyses, report production activities, and ad-hoc requests related to internal and external financial information.
  • *Market Watch and Shareholder Analysis:*
  • Analyze and maintain up-to-date data on investors, stock market activities, and shareholder activities used by the management and Investor Relations team.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in analyst forecasts, shareholder movements, and market activity.
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal summaries and documents used for investor interactions and communication activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date Investor Relations databases and platforms, ensuring the accuracy and consistency of information.
  • *Investor Relations and Capital Markets Exposure:*
  • Support the organization of investor meetings, conferences, non-deal roadshows, and site visits.
  • Assist in preparing information documents and briefing notes for management and interactions with the board of directors.
  • Gain exposure to institutional investors, sell-side financial analysts, and capital markets practices.
  • *Operational Support to Investor Relations:*
  • Manage the main tracking tools, calendars, and documents of Investor Relations to support a well-structured and efficient function.
  • Support coordination with vendors, invoice processing, and automation of certain tasks.
  • Participate in approved website and Investor Relations communication updates.

About You

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics; interest in financial markets.
  • Having or being in the process of obtaining a professional designation (CPA, CFA) is an asset.
  • Maximum of 0 to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Bilingual English/French (spoken and written).*
  • Strong interest in capital markets, financial analysis, and corporate finance.
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Copilot) and Think-cell.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple mandates with varying priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to track progress and communicate it to relevant parties.
  • Ability to handle confidential and non-routine information.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Good understanding of relevant social media.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and initiative-taking.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience with financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc.) is an asset.
  • Exposure to financial statements and basic concepts of company evaluation is an asset.
