As a Materials Coordinator, under the supervision of the Supply Chain Management Department, the incumbent will plan or coordinate one or more of the following functions: procurement, receiving, storage, and issuing of materials, according to the respective contract work schedules and the demands of the various production departments.
Specifically, you will need to:
- Plan or coordinate all activities related to the movement of materials within the site or between Site Davie and subcontractors or the client.
- Ensure that all transactions affecting the movement of materials or impacting production schedules are reflected within the materials management information system.
- Check the availability of materials at the site to make them available to production and coordinate procurement and replenishment activities.
- Control the quantities of materials held in inventory and, after approval, submit lists of missing materials to the Procurement Service.
- Issue various reports on the status of the materials they plan or control at different frequencies.
- Analyze various computer reports to identify materials that are late or at risk of being late and participate in the development of alternative solutions.
- Prepare various documents such as bills of lading, memoranda, and relevant papers for shipment or fill out the appropriate forms for credits to suppliers and customers when shipping recoverable materials (empty barrel, empty lathe, etc.).
- Perform any other task compatible with their functions at the request of their supervisor.
Qualifications
- Hold a College Diploma (DEC) in an appropriate discipline (procurement, inventory management).
- Have three (3) years of relevant experience in a similar position.
- Experience in the maritime industry is an asset.
- Bilingual (an asset).
- Demonstrate autonomy.
- Possess a good analytical mind.
- Successful completion of the investigation and obtaining the security clearance required under the Federal Contract Security Program. (Minimum of 5 years of residence in Canada, without interruption for 6 consecutive months).
