Join our dynamic team as a Daily Worker for Packaging at Matériaux Interstar, a Saint-Gobain company, for our Sherbrooke plant.

The Daily Worker for Packaging will be responsible for bagging various products destined for Interstar's clients, while respecting the requirements for weight, quantity, and quality of stackable bags.

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging of products while adhering to quality and quantity standards.
• Apply health and safety at work (H&S) rules and operational procedures.
• Operate a forklift to move products and pallets.
• Clean and maintain the packaging area and machine.
• Verify product codes and adjust the machine according to the required weight.
• Control the weight of bags, close and stack them correctly.
• Complete production forms and report equipment breakdowns.
• Cooperate with other departments and participate in the training of new employees.
• Perform any other related tasks.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

• Experience in industry and forklift operation (assets).
• Good physical condition (able to lift up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to distinguish colors.
• Teamwork, flexibility, and quick adaptation.
• Punctuality, diligence, and respect for rules.
• Initiative, responsibility, and motivation.
• Knowledge of H&S rules.

Working Conditions

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Environment: dust and noise requiring the use of PPE (workwear, mask, hearing protection).
• Repetitive work with lifting of loads.
• Versatility and possibility of overtime.
