Logistics Coordinator Job

About the Position

Under the logistics manager, you will be responsible for coordinating various transport and logistics activities to ensure an effective and safe service.

Desired Profile

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, transportation logistics, or a related field.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics.
• Experience in industrial or bulk product transportation, an asset.

Desired Skills

• Good knowledge of Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials transportation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Sense of organization, autonomy, and diligence.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of SAP (asset).
• Functional French-English, both oral and written, as there are multiple daily exchanges with the customer service department located in the United States.

Main Responsibilities

• Coordinate road and rail transportation activities.
• Provide relevant training to carriers, clients, and others.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. transportation regulations.
• Collaborate with carriers and monitor their performance.
• Manage inspections and maintenance of transportation equipment.
• Participate in investigations and follow-up on transportation incidents.
• Provide technical support to operations and clients.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in logistics planning and coordination activities with various teams.

Working Conditions

• Permanent position
• Full-time 37.5 hours/week
