At the Hydro-Saguenay division, we are proud of our hydroelectric network that covers a territory of 5,400 square kilometers. It includes 8 hydroelectric production facilities on 3 rivers and 2 distinct hydrographic basins. The 10 high-voltage power transmission lines that crisscross the region allow us to connect 8 transformation stations, 2 factory feeding stations, and 2 interconnections with Hydro-Québec.

Our division is looking for qualified individuals to fill a permanent full-time position as a Mechanical Engineer or Technician.

Our hydroelectric division is looking for a Mechanical Engineer or Technician passionate about industrial equipment and renewable energy production facilities.

Main Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and supervise projects related to the mechanical equipment of hydroelectric plants;
• Ensure the technical follow-up of turbines, gates, hydromechanical systems, lifting equipment, and other critical assets;
• Perform technical analyses, inspections, and recommendations to improve the performance and reliability of the facilities;
• Prepare technical estimates, cost estimates, and implementation plans;
• Coordinate work carried out by external contractors and suppliers;
• Participate in the management of scheduled outages and major refurbishment projects;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental, and regulatory standards;
• Contribute to continuous improvement and asset optimization initiatives.

Profile

• Bachelor's or DEC in Mechanical Engineering;
• 3 years of relevant experience;
• Strong analytical, planning, organization, and problem-solving skills;
• Excellent communication skills;
• Knowledge of the Office suite and SAP (an asset).
