Maintenance Technician

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the performance of operations by maintaining the proper functioning of equipment and facilities. They directly contribute to productivity by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvements, all while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment (greasing, cleaning, inspection) to ensure reliability and performance
- Inspect installations to detect anomalies and intervene proactively
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic failures and perform necessary repairs
- Provide rapid support to production teams during equipment issues
- Suggest improvements to reduce downtime and optimize operations
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance reports and failure histories
- Strictly adhere to health, safety, and quality standards
- Identify recurring failure causes and implement sustainable solutions
- Participate in equipment improvement and modernization projects
- Use and maintain required industrial tools and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; industrial maintenance or related diploma considered an asset
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Training in industrial mechanics, electromechanics, or industrial maintenance
- Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
- Ability to effectively manage priorities in a production environment
- Commitment to health and safety standards
- Availability to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed
- Ability to work in an industrial environment (noise, dust, temperature variations)
- Physical ability to lift weights and perform tasks requiring mobility and endurance
