Bender Operator

We are looking for a skilled Bender Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating press brake and metal bending machines to bend, form, and shape metal components according to engineering drawings and production specifications. The ideal candidate has experience working in a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment and is committed to producing high-quality parts safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate press brake, CNC bender, or metal bending machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Select appropriate tooling and machine settings for various materials.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Load and unload metal sheets, tubes, or components.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment clean.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Assist with other production and general labour duties as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating press brake or metal bending machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Forklift experience is an asset.

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bender Operator or Press Brake Operator.
• Knowledge of metal fabrication processes.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• CSA-approved safety shoes required.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
