Main Functions and Responsibilities

• Review the updates to structured notes made by translators to ensure compliance with the English source document, maintain consistency in French documents, and adhere to client standards.
• Translate from English to French, if necessary, sections of the document.
• Write and maintain the structured notes update guide specific to the financial institution you are responsible for, which is used by the structured notes team to ensure uniformity of work among team members.
• Provide feedback to team members and answer questions.
• Assist other proofreaders in the structured notes team as needed (high workload, absences, etc.).
• Participate in occasional meetings where the dynamic structured notes team shares tips and tools to facilitate work.
• Participate in training activities.
• Contribute to the improvement of the Apertera AI neural translation tool through meetings with the research and development team, among others.

Education

• University degree in translation (English to French) with specialization in the financial, economic, legal, and/or securities domain.
• University degree in law or law certificate.

Professional Experience

• More than ten years of experience in translating or proofreading documents related to securities, investment funds, or financial documents subject to filing requirements.
• Knowledge of the financial markets sector.
• Any experience working in a translation agency or within a company's linguistic service will be considered an asset.

Required Qualities

• Attention to detail; ability to quickly distinguish terminological or calculation discrepancies.
• Respect for instructions and client preferences.
• Teamwork: ability to ask questions when needed and help others if necessary.
• Ability to work under pressure and be autonomous.
