In this role, you will intervene directly with our clients to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment. You will have the opportunity to leverage your mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical skills while acquiring specialized expertise in a high-demand field.

How You Will Make a Difference

• You will be responsible for the overall integrity and operational condition of forklifts with the following responsibilities:
• Conduct a comprehensive examination of a forklift's functional capabilities and general conditions.
• Diagnose, adjust, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components, communicate findings to clients, and execute next steps for repair.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Identify issues and detect worn mechanical or electrical parts.
• Document and analyze failures according to procedures.
• As a technician, you are the first point of contact between GNJ and the client; therefore, you must be comfortable with your client contacts and possess strong technical knowledge.

What You Bring to the Team

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic technician or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform tasks in an adverse climate, with exposure to extreme weather conditions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the mechanical and electrical systems of battery and motor-powered material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of the use of hand tools and measuring devices, knowledge of the use of diagnostic/measurement electrical/electronic tools.
• Experience with industrial equipment involving lifting, maintenance, disassembly, and installation of machinery and industrial mechanical service equipment.
• Experience aligning the above equipment using micrometers, cranes, cylinders, or other tools is an asset.
• Capable of interpreting and implementing technical procedures.
• Solid knowledge of general locking and tagging procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented.
• Effective problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Ability to be flexible and work in a rapidly changing environment.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
