Speed Skating Quebec (SSQ) is a dynamic, non-profit organization with 8,325 members dedicated to the development, promotion, and management of speed skating activities in Quebec, as well as the development of its participants and athletes. Its headquarters is located at the Intact Assurance Ice Centre in Quebec.
General Description
Under the supervision of the CEO and in collaboration with other members of the SSQ team, the Development Agent will be involved in the following areas:
- Strategic and operational planning: Define and implement action plans to make speed skating accessible to all citizens.
- Partnership management: Build and maintain a strong network with cities, schools, local clubs and regional associations, as well as various sports organizations such as Speed Skating Canada, Regional Recreation and Sports Units, etc.
- Financing and grants: Manage resources and budget to support projects and assistance to clubs and members.
- Coordination and animation: Organize development and promotion activities.
- Support for interveners: Guide and advise volunteers and coaches/animators to improve the quality of services offered in clubs and regional associations.
Requirements
- Hold a university or college diploma or technical diploma in sports management, or project management, or a diploma or certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized in the field (work experience may also be considered);
- Minimum of (2) years of similar work experience or equivalent;
- Excellent mastery of French and English (written and spoken);
- Good knowledge of the Windows environment and Office 365;
- Skills in project management, financing and coordination;
- Strong sense of organization, initiative, leadership, autonomy, customer service and communication;
- Ability to work in group situations and under pressure;
- Capacity to manage priorities and complete multiple files simultaneously while respecting deadlines;
- Knowledge of speed skating and/or the sports field (an asset).
This is a full-time position (35 hours/week) with the main workplace at the Intact Assurance Ice Centre in Quebec, with the possibility of remote work according to the PVQ Professional Human Resources Management Policy. Some travel in Quebec will be required (driver's license necessary).
The salary level and other benefits will comply with the standards established by Speed Skating Quebec and may vary according to the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
