As a business partner in human resources, the person acts as a resource person and agent of change by exercising a consulting and influential leadership role to support the development of the organization and people, in line with the organization's strategic orientations and values. He accompanies managers in achieving their operational objectives and closely collaborates with the human resources teams in the development of HR policies and programs.

Your main responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Director of HR Operations, the incumbent assumes the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Establishes a business relationship with clients, understands their reality and their issues, and plays a key role in achieving their objectives.
  • Analyzes HR indicators related to the workforce, translates them into diagnostics, and supports managers in developing action plans for which they are responsible, in order to improve the performance of their business units.
  • Accompanies and supports management teams in the deployment and application of human resources policies and programs.
  • Accompanies managers in change or reorganization contexts that have an impact on human resources.
  • Provides strategic support and consulting to managers in the areas of leadership development, talent management, performance evaluation, interpersonal relationships and team, as well as communication.
  • Participates in the preparation and negotiation of collective agreements. To this end, conducts comparative analyses, prepares the employer's document and ensures the preparation and follow-up of the conditions.
  • Establishes mechanisms for consultation between employees and managers and facilitates their implementation.
  • Supports and advises managers in the management of grievances and complaints.
  • Promotes global remuneration programs and accompanies management teams in the consistent application of salary policies.
  • Ensures the follow-up and implementation of all HR interventions required in the context of opening a new residence.
  • Manages all workplace investigation files, including harassment, discrimination and ethics-related cases, from initial analysis to final recommendations, in compliance with legal obligations and best HR practices.
  • Supports the regional director of operations in interventions related to the organizational effectiveness of residences by proposing proactive approaches or corrective measures.
  • Collaborates with the training and organizational development team in the improvement and development of corporate programs for the integration of new employees, development, performance management and recognition.
  • Analyzes complex situations in labor law and issues recommendations based on laws, the organization's policies and organizational values.
  • Supports the health and safety prevention action plan, participates in the management of SST files and acts as a resource person.
  • Desired profile

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or industrial relations.

A bachelor's degree in a related field may be considered, provided that it includes a minimum of 30 university credits in human resources management or industrial relations.

  • A master's degree is an asset.

Experience

  • A minimum of six to eight (6 to 8) years of relevant experience in similar functions, preferably in a service industry and multi-site.
  • Experience in carrying out mandates in a specialized field of activity (training and organizational development, labor relations or health and safety).
  • Experience in a consulting role in a unionized environment is an asset.
