About the position

You will work as a junior lawyer at one of our offices located in Longueuil or Quebec, for Promutuel Assurance in a hybrid mode.

In this role, you will manage litigious claim files in property damage and civil liability insurance involving the Promutuel Group and its member companies.

Your responsibilities

• Manage litigious claim files;
• Represent mutual companies and their insured parties before common law and administrative courts, both in demand and defense;
• Draft legal documents and opinions;
• Negotiate settlements;
• Take statutory declarations from insured parties or third parties;
• Follow up on litigious claim files;
• Process requests for access to claim information;
• Conduct jurisprudential and doctrinal research to support the argument;
• Make recommendations to mutual companies;
• Other related tasks.

Do you have this profile?

• Bachelor's degree in law
• Member of the Quebec Bar
• Experience in civil law and litigation (asset)
