By joining RBC as a Director, Commercial Banking, you open the door to an exciting career within Corporate Banking Services. You will provide commercial and financial advice and manage a portfolio of commercial clients that you will support as they manage and grow their business. As a relationship director, you will provide first-class financial advice, taking into account risk policies to offer solutions tailored to the needs of clients. By identifying new business opportunities and collaborating with other advisors and specialists at RBC, you will contribute to creating an experience that clients will value.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire new clients while developing and consolidating existing relationships by providing added-value financial advice tailored to the needs of the customer base.
  • Gather information through exploratory approach and proactively contact clients to understand their needs and the evolution of their situation, and ensure they are satisfied with the overall relationship with RBC.
  • Plan and prioritize customer and market-focused activities, identify business opportunities and present clients to RBC partners to offer them financial solutions tailored to their personal and commercial financial needs, in line with the Together at RBC principle, the key to success.
  • Manage risks and exercise diligent oversight in all Bank procedures and develop action plans to address concerns or risks identified.
  • Promote the optimization of digital technologies by encouraging clients to use RBC's mobile and online applications, allowing them to interact with the Bank in the way they prefer.
  • Be present for your clients; visit your clients at their workplace to better understand their activities and commercial objectives.

Requirements

  • Experience in relationship management and providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to explore needs and develop solutions to offer commercial clients advice on their banking operations
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, and good organizational sense
  • Experience with new communication technologies (online meetings, social networks, digital banking services, mobile apps)

Assets

  • Credit skills and knowledge: understanding of risk assessments and financial analyses, structured credit solutions and methods for presenting banking solutions
  • Knowledge of Corporate Banking Services systems
  • Knowledge of a wide range of financial products and services for businesses and individuals
  • University degree, ideally in commerce or business administration, or equivalent experience
