Functions and Responsibilities

As a Geomatics Developer at CGI, you will be called upon to:

Participate in the analysis and collection of requirements in collaboration with the project team;

Understand the needs and specifications of the systems to be developed;

Support information systems advisors in the design of systems, interfaces, and processes to be developed;

Participate in the design of systems and actively contribute to the creation or modification of geomatics systems in different types of environments while meeting high quality requirements;

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and subject matter experts to provide quality services on time to contribute to the success of our clients;

Ensure the quality of deliverables and meet requirements;

Diagnose and resolve technical issues in application, interface, and system code;

Support and implement the deployment of applications and systems;

Encourage the adoption of best practices and suggest improvements to make our information systems more agile, efficient, and performant.

Qualifications Required to Succeed in this Role

Bachelor's degree, DEC, AEC, or first-cycle university training in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, programming, geomatics, cartography, or web and mobile development.

At least five (5) years of experience in a geomatics developer role, in a context of creating and evolving geographic information systems, particularly with ESRI ArcGIS technologies, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise;

Experience with the following technologies: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, Python, Oracle, Oracle databases, PL/SQL Developer, SQL, SQL Server, and SQL Server Management Studio.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, as well as professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particularities of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $60,000 and $120,000. This position is vacant.
