Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering and Innovation, the Team Lead – Engineering of Temporary Structures ensures the technical coordination of engineering projects while actively participating in the design, analysis, and validation of temporary structures and scaffolding.

As a technical reference, he or she accompanies team members, promotes knowledge sharing, and ensures the quality of deliverables as well as the respect of deadlines. In collaboration with the sales, operations, and client teams, he or she contributes to the development of secure, innovative, and project-specific solutions.

This role represents an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer wishing to develop his or her skills in coordination and technical leadership.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (specialization in structures, an asset)
• Member in good standing of the Order of Engineers of Quebec (OIQ)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design
• Experience in temporary structures or scaffolding (asset)
• Experience in project coordination or a marked interest in technical leadership
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and establish priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, SAFI, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar software (asset)
• Valid driver's license (class 5) and access to a vehicle
• Leadership, diligence, autonomy, and team spirit
• MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate priorities and task distribution within the engineering team, in collaboration with the director.
• Act as a technical resource for team members.
• Support and guide engineers in the completion of their assignments.
• Review designs and contribute to maintaining quality standards.
• Promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of work methods.

Design and Technical Expertise

• Participate in site visits and technical meetings when required.
• Analyze site reports and validate project feasibility.
• Design and revise installation plans and calculation notes.
• Design custom component fabrication plans.
• Validate project compliance with applicable laws, codes, and standards.
• Produce compliance letters following inspections and verifications.
• Collaborate with the sales team during the preparation of proposals and technical solutions.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and clients.
• Participate in research and development projects as well as product and design method improvements.
