Accounting Analyst

LSN is currently seeking an Accounting Analyst for a one (1) year contract. The Accounting Analyst is responsible for preparing monthly financial statements and other financial analyses, maintaining accounting procedures and controls, and assisting the Director of Finance in various accounting tasks.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities

• Prepare and record accounting entries;
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts;
• Perform bank reconciliation;
• Manage and forecast cash flow;
• Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements;
• Analyze and explain variances between actual and budgeted results;
• Prepare TPS/TVQ tax declarations;
• Track capital expenditures;
• Account for operations related to fixed assets;
• Collaborate on government audits and external audits;
• Conduct various financial analyses;
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and revised budgets;
• Perform any other related tasks.
• Required Education and Competencies
• *Education and Work Experience:*
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Experience in a production environment;
• Bachelor's degree in business administration or finance – an asset;
• CPA designation (obtained or in progress) – an asset.
• *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:*
• Strong proficiency in Excel;
• Strong sense of organization;
• Ability to synthesize information;
• Bilingualism in English-French due to communications with the headquarters located in the United States;
• Knowledge of the JDE environment – an asset.
