Summary

Reporting to the director, the OHS and Human Resources Advisor serves as a resource person in occupational health and safety while contributing to various aspects of human resources. The candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where autonomy, prevention, and continuous improvement are key. This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on managers and employees across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource person in occupational health and safety.
  • Coordinate prevention activities, inspections, audits, and OHS meetings.
  • Participate in accident investigations, incident analyses, and follow-up on corrective measures.
  • Ensure the updating and application of OHS policies and procedures.
  • Develop and follow up on the employee training plan.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of HR and OHS practices.
  • Collaborate on various HR projects, mobilization initiatives, and corporate activities.
  • Advise and support managers in matters within their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Degree in human resources management, industrial relations, or related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Good knowledge of labor laws and OHS practices.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with autonomy and diligence.
  • Valid driver's license and availability for occasional travel between different sites.

Assets

  • Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
  • Knowledge of the CNESST and best practices in prevention.
  • Experience in continuous improvement.
  • Interest in HR marketing, employer branding, or internal communications.
  • CRHA or CRIA certification (an asset).

Conditions / Context

  • Full-time permanent position.
  • Daytime schedule.
  • Based in Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly with occasional travel to the company's different sites.
