Engineering Specialist - Transport and Sortation Operations

• Location: Quebec, QC, CA
• Shift: Monday to Friday, day shift
• Employment Contract: Permanent position of 37.5 hours/week

• Provide technical support for the analysis and restructuring of routes and territories;
• Assist in equipment installations, establishment and audit of standards, process optimization, continuous improvement of our sortation operations;
• Identify and support the implementation of short and medium-term opportunities that have a positive impact on productivity, services, revenue generation, and cost per piece;
• Provide support and analysis required for medium and long-term opportunities requiring significant capital investment;
• Implement methods and procedures to achieve optimal results in mail and warehouse functions;
• Help Operations reach and exceed their goals by reviewing methods and procedures with local managers;
• Conduct various data-based analyses.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in operations management;
• Experience as a unit supervisor would be an asset
• Demonstrate problem-solving skills;
• Analytical mindset;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the company;
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (Excel in particular);
• Ability to effectively implement changes and promote team spirit in a unionized work environment
• Bilingualism (French and English) would be an asset
• Good knowledge of Purolator's entire systems;
• Self-motivated.
