JOB OFFER: ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN *Do you want to evolve in a close-knit environment where human concerns are at the heart of everything and where you can make a difference?*
Would you like to be an important actor in our office team?
Under the supervision of the accounting manager, you will assist the office staff in their functions. You will perform accounting-related tasks.
General Responsibilities
The accounting technician performs the necessary accounting tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the pharmacy. They work in collaboration with the administrative team to keep financial records up-to-date, ensuring the accuracy of information and compliance with internal procedures.
Specific Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Follow up on collections and send reminders for overdue accounts, especially those over 60 days.
- Monthly reconciliation of sales and collections from customer accounts.
- Prepare monthly billing to patients and families, including account statements.
Accounts Payable
- Record and reconcile vendor invoices (QuickBooks and Acomba).
- Prepare weekly payment notices to vendors.
- Track and account for petty cash.
Reports and Accounting Entries
- Prepare monthly sales entries and analyze transactions, including billing, card collections, and manual billing.
- Post journal entries to the general ledger, including accruals and amortization.
General
- Document accounting processes to ensure the continuity of operations.
- Communicate, if necessary, with English and French-speaking patient clients and families.
- This position is based at our office in Saint-Laurent (headquarters) and covers the accounting activities of the Sterilia group (Saint-Laurent, Hochelaga, and Saint-Jerome), as well as the accounting of Les Foyers, a distinct partner pharmacy.

Our Requirements
- Hold a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in accounting, or equivalent experience.
- Have one (1) to two (2) years of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks and Acomba software.
- Fluent French both written and spoken. Functional English required both written and spoken, as some patient families are only English-speaking (in accordance with Law 14, English is required for this specific professional need).
- Experience in accounting or billing within the healthcare or pharmaceutical sector (asset).

- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, during the day, Monday to Friday.
- Flexible start and end shift hours.
- Mostly in-person work, occasional remote work possible.
- Salary ranging from $24 to $32 per hour, depending on the candidate's profile.
