The Cost Controller is responsible for the tracking and analysis of the budget for a specific scope within a Major Construction Project. They ensure the quality and reliability of management data, actively participate in the preparation of financial reports, and ensure compliance with the cost control processes defined by the Management.

What you will do

  • Participate in the preparation of the initial budget, periodic revisions, and completion forecasts.
  • Monitor commitments, incurred costs, work progress, and remaining work.
  • Maintain up-to-date management databases and operational tracking tools.
  • Produce budget tracking reports and update operational dashboards.
  • Analyze deviations between the budget and actual costs and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare end-of-period entries (accrued expenses), verify incurred costs, and ensure the consistency of forecasts.
  • Monitor the budget of subcontracts and contribute to the evaluation of risks and opportunities.
  • Support the continuous improvement of processes, management tools, audits, and financial reviews.
  • This position is for you if you have:
  • Mastery of cost control and budget tracking principles.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and automation.
  • Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP (asset).
  • Ability to consult, interpret, and leverage Power BI reports.
  • Knowledge of complex project environments and consortium-type structures.
  • Understanding of project management concepts and the EVM (Earned Value Management) method.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and professional rigor.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, autonomy, proactivity, priority management, and effective communication.
