As a Security Supervisor at Cologix, you will be responsible for the physical security of one of our hyperscale data centers. You will supervise a team of contract security agents and support the security manager in managing daily operations.

In this role, you will ensure the implementation of security policies, procedures, and standards to protect employees, clients, visitors, and Cologix's critical infrastructure. You will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment, coordinating security activities, and managing interventions, while providing excellent customer service.

Your daily tasks

• Supervise and coordinate on-site security agents, including task assignment and schedule management.
• Ensure the strict application of access protocols and visitor controls, including registration and identification.
• Monitor security systems (video surveillance, access control, fire panel, alarms).
• Respond quickly and efficiently to incidents and emergency situations.
• Regularly patrol the interior and exterior perimeters of the building to identify and correct potential vulnerabilities.
• When necessary, conduct security investigations, submit detailed reports, and assist in the implementation of corrective measures with the team.
• Act as the first responder in case of medical emergencies.
• Respond to security requests (internal and external) in accordance with our established service level agreements.
• Raise awareness among staff about best practices in security and emergency procedures.
• Provide assistance (first escalation level) to security agents when needed (on call).
• Supervise agents and cross-check reports. Escalate any abnormal situations to the security manager.
• Train new agents on processes, systems, and software.
• Perform additional tasks related to the position as needed.

What makes you a good candidate: (Qualifications)

• A college diploma or equivalent experience and studies will be considered
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in physical security, with experience in team supervision being an asset
• Must have a valid Private Security Bureau (BSP) license
• Previous experience in security within a critical environment such as a data center, pharmaceutical, or other high-security industrial facility
• Leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Must be punctual, reliable, flexible, and willing to work overtime as needed to meet department demands
• Basic computer skills required to manage various systems.
• Proficiency in English is required for this position as you will be frequently communicating with other employees as well as clients and/or Cologix suppliers located outside of Quebec.
