Working in project management and construction at the STM means working on large-scale urban projects aimed at modernizing and developing one of the most important transportation networks in North America.
Your responsibilities
As a technical agent, you support the construction project manager or contract administrator in carrying out all of their tasks, in the tracking and preparation of technical documents concerning the various internal and external stakeholders (annexes, technical question registers, deviation request registers, change request registers, etc.).
Your main duties
- Support the implementation project team in the realization of large-scale multidisciplinary projects;
- Perform tracking, analysis, and reports in response to ad-hoc requests within tight deadlines;
- Work within a matrix organization of projects; the person will receive additional supervision from a functional authority and a hierarchical authority;
- The incumbent will have to work on construction sites during the implementation of the project.
More specifically, you
- Validate the adequacy of technical documents received from the contractor with the annexes, and comment as needed;
- Follow up and meet with stakeholders as needed for the tracking of technical documents and ensure that all documentation is received and has a status for transfer to the STM;
- Write meeting minutes for coordination, specifically for the tracking of technical documents;
- Participate in the preparation of work orders (writing and distribution), update the progress tracking files of construction site work and the tracking of payments, and then prepare the closing of work orders;
- Participate in meetings with the internal contractor for work orders to obtain the required information to update the work order tracking tables;
- Participate in engineering coordination meetings in interface with the implementation of a contractor contract and/or an internal work order;
- Maintain the register of denials and receipts, enter data for the establishment of statements, and validate the supporting documentation to allow for timely billing of items at time and material;
- Participate in the writing of official correspondence to the external contractor (e.g., changes to the contract, engineering directives), issue documents, update tracking tools, in compliance with current standards and practices;
- Perform a pre-analysis of the external contractor's requests and make the link with the construction project manager;
- Ensure the processing of data for the production of reports and statistics;
- Assist the project implementation team in all related tasks of management, administration, and technical contract tracking;
- Perform any other related tasks.

Your profile is actively sought if you
- Hold a college diploma (DEC) in civil engineering, construction, or architecture.
- Have 1 year of relevant experience, particularly in construction.
- Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
- KEY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- You are recognized for the following skills, abilities, and knowledge:
- Collaboration, tact, commitment to deadlines, analytical depth, prioritization, diligence, verbal expression.
- Good knowledge of quality management and tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, diagrams, and schematics in the following fields: civil, structural, architecture, electrical, building mechanics, and telecommunications.
- Proficiency in health and safety laws and regulations on a construction site.
- Proficiency in French both orally and in writing.
- Medium voltage electrical knowledge (25 kv) (an asset).
- Knowledge of BIM software, Autocad, and/or Contract Management (CM) or Unifier (an asset).
- Possession of the ASP Construction card (an asset).
- Knowledge of the STM Metro environment (an asset).

- Salary: $68,450 to $80,499
