As an Environmental Technician and Contaminated Soils Manager, you will play a key role in the implementation of fieldwork. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Conducting environmental monitoring, site characterization, and rehabilitation work;
• Actively participating in the collection and analysis of environmental data;
• Ensuring strict compliance with regulations and requirements.
• Post-related responsibilities:
• Checking the compliance of fieldwork with plans, estimates, authorizations, and regulations;
• Ensuring the implementation of mitigation measures and good environmental practices on sites;
• Conducting sample collections (soils, groundwater and surface water, sediments, residual materials);
• Monitoring drilling work and soil sampling in the context of water research work;
• Describing the characteristics and properties of collected soils and materials;
• Participating in inspections as part of Phase I environmental assessments, if necessary;
• Recording observations (notes, photos, measurements) in a daily work report;
• Participating in follow-up meetings with contractors and clients;
• Collaborating with other departments of the company to ensure an integrated approach;
• Applying and actively promoting the occupational health and safety (OHS) program.

Requirements and education

• College diploma (DEC), AEC, or university degree in the field of environment;
• Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in the environment, ideally in site monitoring or characterization;
• Practical experience in fieldwork and environmental monitoring of sites;
• Ability to communicate orally and write clearly and structured;
• Valid health and safety training on construction sites (ASP-Construction);
• Valid driver's license and access to a car;
• Good physical condition, autonomy, and rigor in the field;
• Sensitivity and commitment to occupational health and safety principles.
