Domtar is a leader in the production of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue paper, and wood products. The pulp and paper plant in Gatineau is historic. We use a unique process to produce thermomechanical pulp used in the production of newspaper. We source residual wood chips that we recover from sawmilling. Additionally, we have a cogeneration facility that produces 15 MWh of electricity. We are a close-knit employer with our 135 employees, our primary resource of which we are proud.

Our facility is looking for qualified individuals to fill a position as an Operations Journeyman/Journeyperson. This is a permanent full-time position.

What we offer

• Base salary rate starts at $34.83 per hour.
• Evening premium of $0.60/h and night premium of $0.80/h
• 12-hour rotating shift: 7:15 AM to 7:15 PM / 7:15 PM to 7:15 AM

Requirements

• Have a commitment to safety and health at work and respect for rules;
• Minimal secondary 5 or DEP will be considered with the success of evaluations
• Good physical capacity;
• Ability to work in a hot and humid environment;
• Be available on call.
• Perform replacements as needed in our various departments.
