The Position

Reporting to the Sous Chefs, you will participate in the creation, preparation, and execution of a distinctive culinary offering. You will contribute to maintaining high standards of quality, creativity, and operational excellence. You will need to:

  • plan and organize the various setups of your unit;
  • coordinate service and ensure impeccable presentation of dishes;
  • create original and refined dishes, highlighting flavors, textures, and colors;
  • participate in the evolution of recipes, presentations, and the gastronomic experience offered to customers;
  • prepare, season, and cook meats, vegetables, and other foods to be consumed in the various points of sale, using appropriate methods;
  • maintain production, presentation, and service standards at established levels;
  • participate in inventory management of your sector;
  • control operational costs by ensuring proper management of perishable inventories;
  • maintain the highest standards in hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety;
  • assimilate and apply the policies and regulations in effect at the establishment and have a good knowledge of all products and services offered;
  • perform any other duties aimed at the smooth operation and quality of service to customers.

Essential Requirements

  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (D.E.P.) in culinary arts from a recognized institution. A college-level course in food service management is an asset.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in establishments of significant size.

  • Ability to conceive and execute original and refined dishes, harmonizing flavors, textures, colors, and presentation.
  • Knowledge of seasonal products, local ingredients, and exceptional ingredients.
  • Mastery of culinary techniques, such as lactofermentation, maturation, lyophilization, and texturization.
  • Excellent sense of responsibility and organization.
  • Customer orientation and pursuit of excellence.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage priorities.
  • Positive leadership and spirit of collaboration.
  • Strict adherence to hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
  • Physical ability to perform manual handling.
  • Availability to work on various shifts (day, evening, weekends, and holidays).
