The Merchandising Associate (MET) performs merchandising activities in-store. They are responsible for merchandising projects, planogram updates, upper shelf organization, and display model and signage maintenance to enhance the shopping experience for customers. The MET implements merchandising strategies and ensures products are presented correctly to stimulate sales and optimize stock rotation. They work with on-site supervisors and provide services to multiple departments or services in the stores. Additionally, they perform general maintenance tasks, projects, and renovations in a safe, precise, and efficient manner. The MET must establish and maintain strong relationships with store associates and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Main Responsibilities
Merchandising: General maintenance, tasks, de-palletizing, and projects
Read and interpret directives to ensure merchandise is arranged according to the planogram, project instructions, program service requirements, and general maintenance guidelines.
Organize, clean, and arrange products to ensure they are presented in an attractive manner.
Keep a copy of the most recent planogram on the vertical shelf adjacent to the displayed product.
Assemble display models, fixtures, and accessories using basic hand tools.
Maintain, order, and assemble display models, signage, and brochures.
Follow instructions and processes to perform label and price changes correctly. Replace incorrect, damaged, or missing price tags.
Maintain aisles.
Use store systems to access essential merchandising reports. Read and interpret data, then take action based on it.
Update section maintenance logs and other documents as indicated.
Implement unique projects, as requested by store, district, or regional management.
Customer Service
Maintain aisles to keep them clean so that customers can move freely and merchandise is accessible.
Collaborate with store management to mark all damaged or unsellable merchandise.
Answer customer questions about the store and products.
Collaborate with store associates to find products that meet customer needs.
Other
Collaborate with the store representative to inspect damaged and returned items for return to the supplier.
Follow standardized operating procedures and safety guidelines.
Follow the assigned training program.
Assume any other required responsibilities.

Bending, stretching, and turning; lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving items.
Working Conditions
Variable schedule with a shift typically starting early in the morning.
The warehouse can be dusty and noisy.
Doors are often open, which can cause air currents and temperature changes inside.
