Description

BRP is looking for an analytical engineer to join its analytical team and play a key role at the intersection of data engineering, architecture, and business analysis. We are seeking a curious, rigorous, and impact-oriented person who enjoys building durable data solutions while deeply understanding the business challenges they support.

In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, high-performance, and exploitable analytical models, while closely collaborating with business teams, data engineers, and data architects to deliver concrete and measurable value.

YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Develop and maintain analytical data models serving reports, dashboards, and advanced use cases.

Design and develop AI agents tailored to the needs of stakeholders using specialized tools.

Translate business needs into clear, documented, and architecture-aligned data transformations.

Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines (ELT/ETL) in collaboration with Data Engineering teams.

Actively participate in analytical architecture decisions (model choices, standards, patterns, semantic layers).

Work jointly with Data Architects during various phases of data modeling, bringing a data consumption-oriented perspective and ensuring alignment with analytical needs.

Analyze data from various sources (primarily SAP and other enterprise systems) to ensure its consistency, quality, and business understanding.

Ensure data quality: testing, validation, anomaly management.

Document transformations, models, and business definitions (semantic layer).

Collaborate closely with business analysts to ensure that metrics, indicators, and definitions accurately reflect operational reality.

Contribute to the continuous evolution of the analytical platform, from raw data to consumption layers.

Act as a reference point for best practices in analytical modeling and SQL development.

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE COMPETENCIES AND QUALITIES BELOW:

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business intelligence, analytics, or equivalent.

Solid experience in advanced SQL and data transformation.

Good understanding of dimensional modeling.

Knowledge of artificial intelligence technologies and a strong interest in their evolution and adoption.

Very good understanding of best practices in Power BI (Desktop and Service).

Understanding of data architecture concepts and the ability to actively contribute to them.

Experience with modern BI environments (e.g., Snowflake – an asset).

Experience with DBT (an asset).

Experience with SAP or other ERP systems and the ability to interpret their data structures.

Comfortable in a hybrid role combining technical skills and business understanding.

Demonstrated ability to explain and popularize complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Sharp sense of rigor, quality, and maintainability of developed solutions.

Very organized, capable of managing priorities, and able to evolve in a constantly changing environment.

Collaborative spirit and proactive approach oriented towards continuous improvement.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, in French and English.

Experience in an agile delivery context.

This role is not...

A pure Data Engineer role focused solely on ingestion and infrastructure.

A Business Analyst role concentrated exclusively on defining needs.

A BI Developer role focused on report and dashboard production.

This is a role at the heart of the analytical chain, business impact-oriented, data quality-focused, and technically excellent.
