Description

The Director of Project Management and ITSM Governance is the main person responsible for supporting the CIO in strategic business planning and the execution of major technological initiatives, team leadership, governance, and aligning IT projects with business objectives.

As the main IT contact with Keolis North America's Transformation Office and operational divisions, he/she collaborates on joint initiatives and ensures that IT service management and project management practices are standardized, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals, enabling the success of IT and business initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

  • *Strategic Planning and Alignment*: Define the direction of IT programs and projects, ensuring their alignment with organizational goals and creating business value. Advise senior management on technological needs and opportunities.
  • *Program and Portfolio Management*: Supervise a portfolio of multiple, complex, and interconnected projects (e.g., cloud migrations, software development, infrastructure modernization) throughout their lifecycle.
  • *Leadership and Team Management*: Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of project managers, architects, and engineers, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • *Governance and Processes*: Establish, implement, and enforce project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and quality standards across the organization or a business unit.
  • *Stakeholder and Vendor Management*: Act as the primary point of contact between executive leadership, internal teams (sales, engineering, operations), clients, and external vendors. Manage expectations and ensure clear communication.
  • *Budgetary and Financial Management*: Develop, manage, and forecast multi-million-dollar budgets, track expenses, and ensure project delivery within financial constraints while optimizing resource allocation.
  • *Risk Management*: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop contingency plans and escalate major concerns to executive leadership.
  • *Compliance and Security*: Ensure all projects and operations comply with legal, regulatory, security, and internal policies.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, project management, or a related field, combined with significant experience.
  • Strong expertise in project management and a deep understanding of project lifecycle and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity, and technological standards.
  • Experience with project management tools and software.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Required professional certifications: PMP, ITIL V4 Foundation, ITIL V4 Strategist Direct/Plan/Improve.
  • Assets: ITIL V5 Transformation, ITIL V5 Foundation.

Job Type

  • Full-time permanent position (40 hours per week);
  • Office in Terrebonne. Hybrid mode (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in-person).
  • Travel: Maintain working relationships with internal and external entities, including approximately 35% of travel for post-award activities, mobilizations, and service deliveries.
