As a Senior Project Manager within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure division, you will play a key role at the heart of the Deep Foundations business unit. By leading large-scale construction and infrastructure projects – potentially exceeding $200 million – you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure flawless execution of all projects. You will benefit from professional oversight and specialized services provided by our support departments, such as environment, quality, and insurance, allowing you to focus on what matters: project management.
What you will do
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with team members, business partners, consultants, and clients to achieve project goals and vision.
- Support project management teams in developing and managing the construction schedule, ensuring completion dates and key milestones are met.
- Utilize your financial management expertise to plan, manage, and adhere to project budgets, as well as associated costs and purchases.
- Share your knowledge and mentor project team members, offering professional development opportunities.
- Ensure effective risk management to minimize project-related risks.
- Compile and finalize enterprise-wide project reports with rigor and precision.
- Demonstrate leadership in health, safety, and environmental protection throughout the project.
- Apply project-specific safety standards, promote Pomerleau's health, safety, and environmental standards, and comply with relevant workplace health and safety laws, regulations, and codes.
- This role is for you if you have:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management within the construction sector.
- University or technical degree in engineering, or a combination of education and experience in the field.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational skills, influence capabilities, problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure project success in a diverse challenge context.
- Strong knowledge of construction and project methodologies, financial management, as well as construction codes and associated legislation.
- Be a champion and model for quality and all best practices in health and safety.
- Experience using planning software, with knowledge and experience of P6 being considered a major asset.
