This position requires full-time on-site presence.

Function:

Responsible for developing procedures, methods, and standards that maximize the use of equipment and production and broadcasting systems and simplify their maintenance, as well as intervening in major breakdowns or difficulties whose complexity exceeds the usual scope of maintenance, troubleshooting, or restoring equipment or a production and broadcasting system, in a multidisciplinary environment including networking, optics, electronics, computing, mechanics, machining, welding, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Designs, writes, organizes, and delivers technical training courses or seminars.

  • Develops and recommends procedures, methods, and work standards to meet or exceed the operational needs related to the optimal use and better maintenance of equipment and production and broadcasting systems, as well as the manufacture and machining of parts and tools, and coordinates their application among maintenance technicians;
  • Advises concerned parties on the use, implementation, and installation of equipment and production and broadcasting systems;
  • Plans, coordinates, allocates, reviews, and controls, within the framework of a project, the work of technicians under his or her responsibility and advises them;
  • Intervenes in major breakdowns or difficulties whose complexity exceeds the usual scope of maintenance, troubleshooting, or restoring equipment or a production and broadcasting system;
  • Determines the needs and writes the quality control procedures, establishes the frequency of application, and evaluates the results;
  • Evaluates performance and ensures the functionality of equipment and systems to be acquired or newly installed or during implementation and reports;
  • Designs, writes, organizes, and delivers technical training courses and guides different interveners in the execution of their tasks;
  • Coordinates, reviews, and evaluates the work of the training staff and reports on progress;
  • Designs and administers tests to technical employees and applicants and corrects them; monitors and evaluates their skills and reports;
  • Designs and writes technical documents (such as references, training) and procedures; maintains their inventory, ensures their availability, and updates them;
  • Evaluates existing equipment and makes detailed reports on their maintenance or replacement in the short or long term;
  • Keeps up-to-date with technological evolution with the aim of applying it to solving problems when they arise;
  • Develops and documents new technical modules and subsystems with the aim of modifying or adapting existing equipment, in order to meet specific and current production and broadcasting needs and address shortcomings;
  • Ensures, during the implementation of new equipment and systems, that everything necessary for their maintenance is available, including documentation and tools; makes recommendations to this effect;
  • Completes the appropriate forms and documents; communicates verbally or in writing the required information to ensure the necessary follow-ups and inform concerned parties;
  • Familiarizes other employees with their tasks and work environment;
  • Performs, if necessary, all or part of the tasks belonging to any other class of employment within an equivalent or lower salary group, as well as other related tasks.
  • Job Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in electronics technology option audiovisual, telecommunications, or computer systems, or relevant DEC;
  • Seven (7) years of experience are required, taking into account the multidisciplinary environment and the variety of equipment.
