As a Project Change Control Leader, you will work in collaboration with the Program Management Office (PMO) and Davie's functional departments to ensure rigorous tracking of program/project change management processes and procedures throughout the program phases.
The Leader will develop positive relationships with Davie's clients and represent the company's interests in project change management. In this role, the incumbent will act as a liaison between Davie's various functional departments, including the Engineering and Technical Configuration Change Manager, Document Control, Project Control, Contracts, Finance, Estimation, Supply Chain, and Production.
More specifically, you will:
- Ensure compliance with project change management processes and procedures for the relevant program/project.
- Manage the change register for internal and external projects, and maintain complete documentation of change requests, proposals, approvals, reasons for changes, and implementation plans.
- Produce reports to track the progress and effectiveness of the change management procedure. Optimize the efficiency of the process and procedure based on relevant key performance indicators.
- Evaluate the impact of proposed or requested changes on project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Facilitate communication between engineering/configuration changes and project change management. The Leader also plays a crucial role in collaborating with the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Configuration Manager to ensure the ship's configuration is updated once Technical Modification Proposals (TMPs) are approved.
- Support project/program departments in developing and executing change requests/proposals and TMPs, as well as other required documents throughout the change process.
- Provide continuous support to project/program teams to ensure the implementation of approved changes.
- Guided by the PMO and Contract Management Department, facilitate communication with the client regarding project/program change management, track client response, clarify, and negotiate as needed.
- Identify and integrate risks that may impact costs and schedules into the internal change management procedure.
- Enhance internal change processes to meet the requirements of cost and schedule management procedures (internal budget transfers, reserve management, rework, contingency provisions, and trends).
Qualifications
- University degree in engineering, project management, administration, or a related field;
- Five (5) years of experience in engineering or project control;
- Proven experience in project change management or complex project control;
- Successful completion of the required security clearance process and obtaining the federal government contract security program certification.
