Your Mandate

You install, maintain, repair, and replace various electrical systems and devices serving heating and the distribution of electricity and lighting.

Additionally, you perform maintenance on the electrical distribution infrastructure and electrical installations of related electromechanical devices, as well as various tasks to maintain equipment in municipal buildings and on public roads. More specifically, you:

• Install, maintain, dismantle, and repair various electrical systems and devices for lighting, heating, and power; make electrical connections for power entries, distribution panels, switches, in buildings, parks, parking lots, and public roads;
• Perform the installation and replacement of components of various electrical devices and equipment;
• Ensure the maintenance, installation, removal, and replacement of various pieces, structures, and urban furniture for lighting;
• Perform maintenance, modification, and repair of urban furniture and installations; install and modify locations and remove various structures such as poles, streetlights, traffic signals, and decorative furniture;
• Replace fuses on high-voltage installations after verifying the circuit; replace broken wires; repair substation equipment;
• Perform tasks requiring the operation of a truck with a bucket.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in electricity
• 2 years of experience related to the responsibilities of the position, specifically as a journeyman electrician
• Valid Journeyman Electrician Competency Card OR valid Electricity Qualification Certificate issued by Emploi-Québec
• Health and Safety General Course on Construction Sites (ASP) certificate
• Class 3 driver's license
