Conditions and Benefits

Main Responsibilities

The person assists the dining room director in their daily tasks. They will work in the three dining rooms of Jouvence.

Assist the director in the management of human resources, services, finance, and bars:

  • Adjust schedules as needed, train new dining room employees, distribute tasks and events;
  • Assist in the animation of employee meetings. Coach the food and beverage service and bar services;
  • Ensure the application of policies, procedures, standards, and daily, weekly, and monthly tasks;
  • Ensure the respect of budget ratios related to the distribution of personnel on the field (efficient management of the three dining rooms)
  • Inform the director of the need for equipment;
  • Assist the director in maintaining and conducting weekly inventory for orders;
  • Assist the director in balancing the cash registers;
  • Conduct a daily inspection of the service areas of the company;
  • Ensure the expected quality and cleanliness;
  • Ensure the application of MAPAQ, hygiene, sanitation, and health and safety at work norms;
  • Ensure to assist employees in the dining room and bar service as needed and according to the site's traffic;
  • All other related tasks.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Professional aptitudes and behaviors (teamwork, autonomy, dynamism, initiative, honesty, versatility, initiative, organization, etc.);
  • Aptitudes for human resource management and customer service;
  • Leadership and decision-making capacity;
  • Table service: effective order taking, serving dishes and drinks efficiently and quickly according to rules and procedures, being attentive to customers' needs, reactive and available;
  • Oenology knowledge: Know the wines on the menu and be able to make food-wine pairings;
  • Ability to organize / plan work for hotel table service;
  • Bar knowledge: Know basic cocktails and bar service and be of legal drinking age to be in a liquor sales point;
  • Verbal communication skills;
  • Knowledge of management principles and computer systems;
  • Knowledge and application of work norms and principles in health and safety, as well as in hygiene and sanitation;
  • Execution speed, ability to work under pressure, tolerance to stress;
  • Good physical condition and very high availability.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant DEC completed (an asset);
  • Bilingualism (an asset);
  • 1 to 3 years minimum of experience in supervision / restaurant management;
  • Have experience working with an inventory and bar point of sale management software (Ex: Informastock).
