The Mission Old Brewery is seeking a Supervisor of Housing Support Services – Logement Montréal Project

As a supervisor, you work within the Logement Montréal Project, a coalition that brings together the Mission Old Brewery, Mission Bon Accueil, La Maison du Père, and Accueil Bonneau. Your mandate is to support the psychosocial follow-up intervenors in their efforts to help people who have experienced homelessness gain access to stable housing and reintegrate into society. You support, guide, and mobilize teams to provide consistent, humane, and tailored services to residents. You also contribute to the continuous improvement of practices, the development of partnerships, and the creation of conditions that foster sustainable housing trajectories and the autonomy of the people being supported.

Employee Management

  • Lead team clinical meetings, provide training and support to intervention and coordination teams, and coach teams in case of complex client crises;
  • Ensure the onboarding, integration, training, and supervision of team members under your supervision, including task planning and daily task support;
  • Ensure compliance with HR/collective agreement processes, ensuring the safety of staff to guarantee the respect of operational regulations and health and safety standards, and applying necessary corrections;
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources department to provide post-crisis support to employees by facilitating access to appropriate resources (employee assistance program, for example);
  • Enter payroll data, participate in funding activities, evaluate employees according to the established appraisal process, and promote teamwork.
  • Under the supervision of a PLM team coordinator, you must align housing needs and deploy the necessary resources to meet the expectations of the PLM project.

Support and Supervision

  • Deploy and supervise work procedures, processes, and policies to ensure uniform and quality intervention and clinical activities;
  • Ensure data collection and follow-ups for the evaluation and supervision of offered services;
  • Deploy and supervise work procedures, processes, and policies to ensure uniform and quality practices and activities;
  • Participate in the animation of clinical team meetings and support in training to assist intervention and coordination teams;
  • Apply the complaint process implemented by OBM for employees and users, and ensure that decisions regarding the safety of residents and beneficiaries align with the values of the Mission Old Brewery;
  • Manage the inventory of products (office supplies, first aid kits, essential boxes for users, furniture, etc.), ensuring their stocking and regular inventory updates;
  • Participate and support teams in administrative management, including participating in the collection and transmission of required documents for the administrative files of the Montreal Municipal Housing Office (OMHM).

Development, Representation, and Communication

  • Plan, participate in, and/or lead all meetings or communication activities for staff deemed necessary for the smooth operation of the business;
  • Transmit necessary information to support and intervention teams;
  • Ensure the writing and submission of requested reports within prescribed deadlines;
  • Support and actively participate in philanthropy activities, and act as a resource person for media requests in collaboration with the communications department;
  • Any other related tasks.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College diploma or equivalent;
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in intervention;
  • Clinical knowledge of issues related to homelessness and its prevention;
  • Knowledge of resources available for the client;
  • Functional English spoken (an asset) due to interactions with our clientele;
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams);
  • Sense of organization and priorities: ability to recognize and manage emergencies and meet deadlines;
  • Understanding of the vision and realities related to the services of the Mission Old Brewery;
  • Understanding of HR mechanisms;
  • Interpersonal communication skills;
  • Autonomy, good judgment, diligence, and leadership focused on solutions and the harmonious management of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Sharing the values of the Mission Old Brewery.
