Project Director

Under the supervision of the Vice President of Civil Operations - East, the Regional Project Director - Civil Works will be responsible for the execution of projects that they have submitted and won.

Responsibilities

The Project Director plans, directs, organizes, coordinates, and controls the execution of construction projects.

Among other things, the Civil Project Director will be responsible for:

• Preparing bids and executing projects;
• Negotiating agreements with subcontractors, signing letters of intent after discussion with the Vice President, verifying subcontractor contracts, and signing them;
• Directing Project Managers and Superintendents, ensuring that work on sites complies with standards and objectives regarding quality, safety, and workplace relations, quantity, timelines, and costs, and taking corrective measures as needed;
• Assisting the Vice President in negotiating client contract terms;
• Monthly analysis, with project managers under their responsibility, of the cost control report of their projects and reporting to the Vice President;
• Assigning personnel to sites and controlling the productivity of human resources under their jurisdiction;
• Ensuring customer satisfaction with a focus on safety, costs, timelines, and work quality;
• Ensuring the application and compliance with the EBC health and safety budget and the prevention programs specific to each project;
• Applying the company's quality system in accordance with the ISO standard and monitoring procedures with execution personnel;
• Being responsible for site kick-off meetings, periodic reviews, post-mortems, and participation in planning reviews;
• Discussing legal matters or disputes with the vice president and ensuring their documentation;
• Evaluating personnel under their responsibility according to company policies and ensuring their development;
• Executing all other tasks required for the performance of their mandate.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction engineering;
• Relevant experience of 15 years in construction project management;
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project software;
• Bilingual (important asset);
• High mobility.
