Job Description Summary

The Refrigeration Technician - Level 1 demonstrates great professionalism through positive communication and presentation, and provides excellent service to our customers. This position involves delivering portable CVC equipment to customers, demonstrating skills and performance in the use, operation, and repair of all company equipment. Additionally, this position primarily involves working in the shop to keep it organized, clean, and safe, and learning to check, clean, and prepare equipment for rental to assist other technicians in major jobs.

Responsibilities

• Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pickups, and technical interventions.
• Deliver and install rented CVC equipment and train the authorized operator (and/or customer) in the safe use of the equipment.
• Ask customers to sign appropriate documents; track serial numbers.
• Effectively resolve issues related to the operation, specifications, capabilities, and commands of all rented equipment.
• Drive company vehicles safely and comply with all company safety policies.
• Clean and test returned equipment, ensuring their operation and appearance meet standards.
• Complete appropriate documents for deliveries, pickups, and service calls.
• Install flexible gas lines on propane and natural gas applications.
• Implement appropriate and safe procedures to check gas connections.
• Work with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and track equipment in stock and rented.
• Be available for emergency services and be available on a rotating schedule for emergency calls on weekends and evenings.

Education and Experience

• Possess a refrigeration technician certification (or be in the process of obtaining it)
• 1 to 2 years of experience in a customer service-related position is preferred
• Possess basic math skills
• Have mechanical aptitude
• Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Be able to work after normal hours and on weekends during peak periods
• Physical Requirements:

The candidate must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the position. Some positions at Sunbelt may require driving for long periods, loading and unloading heavy materials, performing tasks in extreme weather conditions, including rain, wind, or excessive temperatures, and/or working nights and weekends. All tasks must be performed in accordance with Sunbelt's safety policies and directives. Reasonable accommodations may be made to comply with the ADA/ADAAA.

Base Pay Range 28.91 - 41.56
