Dixes Landscaping is seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping Crew Leader to lead our Paving Installation \& Repair Division. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with extensive experience in interlock paving, hardscape construction, and site restoration. This position is responsible for supervising field crews, maintaining high-quality workmanship, ensuring job site safety, and delivering exceptional results for our residential and commercial clients.

Key ResponsibilitiesCrew Leadership

• Supervise and coordinate daily work activities for paving crews.
• Assign tasks and monitor productivity to ensure projects remain on schedule.
• Train, mentor, and support crew members while promoting a positive, team-oriented work environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between field staff and project management.
• Paving Installation \& Repair
• Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and site layouts.
• Establish grading lines and elevations to ensure proper drainage.
• Lead the installation of interlock, unistone, natural stone, and concrete pavers.
• Perform and oversee repairs, including lifting and resetting pavers, re-leveling surfaces, replacing damaged materials, re-sanding joints, and applying sealers.
• Quality Assurance
• Ensure proper excavation, base preparation, and compaction meet company and industry standards.
• Inspect completed work to verify alignment, grade, drainage, and overall craftsmanship.
• Identify and resolve installation issues before project completion.
• Safety \& Operations
• Enforce all company safety policies and maintain a safe work environment.
• Coordinate materials, equipment, and job site logistics.
• Operate and oversee the safe use of compactors, skid steers, excavators, and other construction equipment.
• Complete daily job reports, document project progress, and communicate updates to project managers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in paving installation, hardscaping, or landscape construction.
• Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, drainage, and compaction techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
• Experience operating construction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
