Description

*The position is open in Montreal and Quebec*

Do you know how to cool your apartment with your fridge?

If you can answer that, you'll be better off with us!

Who we are

At Ecosystem, everything starts from these convictions: to take responsibility and guarantee the final result. That's why we take care of the engineering and construction of projects, from design to execution, up to commissioning. Nothing stops us from effectively responding to the energy and decarbonation challenges of the built environment.

Ecosystem's recent achievements include significant energy improvement projects at the CIUSSS of Capitale-Nationale, the University of Toronto, and the San Diego Padres Stadium.

Who you are

You are a curious, creative, and proactive engineer who knows well the electromechanical systems. You are passionate about smart energy solutions. As a member of a multidisciplinary and innovative team composed of engineers challenged by technical challenges, you want to contribute to the success of multi-million-dollar projects.

What you will do

At Ecosystem, you will not work on standard projects with ready-made solutions. You will intervene on existing, energy-intensive, and complex buildings, designed at a time when energy was cheap. Each mandate is unique and requires reflection, creativity, and resourcefulness.

You will participate in the development of energy performance projects, from audits, through construction, to validation of results. Here, you are not given a manual: you are told what the building must accomplish, and you will have the freedom, resources, and your toolbox to find out how to get there.

Concretely, you will be asked to:

  • Participate in energy audits, data analysis, and the design of customized solutions
  • Contribute to the development of energy efficiency measures that respond to the technical, financial, and environmental challenges of our clients
  • Conduct technical surveys on site and collaborate on the development of concepts, plans, and estimates
  • Manage energy and financial data, provide support to the construction team, and ensure the achievement of project objectives throughout its lifecycle
  • Your professional development is an integral part of your role. At Ecosystem, you are encouraged to learn, experiment, and go beyond the beaten path. We value boldness: where others wait for solutions to be proven, we prefer to be among the first to innovate

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or physical engineering
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to combine expertise, intuition, and teamwork to solve problems and apply theoretical knowledge in practice.
  • Proficiency in English to collaborate with our offices outside Quebec, in addition to a good command of French.
  • Interest in occasional travel to our different markets (Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, or the United States)

What we offer

  • Generous paid leave program: 15 days of vacation per year, 5 personal days, 10 holidays, plus paid leave from December 25 to January 1, when our offices close for the Holidays to enjoy a well-deserved rest
  • Comprehensive group insurance coverage starting day one (health, vision, dental, life, DMP) and easy access to health support via Telemedicine and the Employee Assistance Program with 60% employer contribution.
  • Employer contribution to the Retirement Savings Plan.
  • People-centered culture: we embody our values through committees on diversity, equity, and inclusion, corporate social responsibility (CSR), innovation, and social engagement, and we celebrate our collective successes at events like Ecofest

*Those who change the world don't make recommendations; they make decisions, and they implement them* *Ecosystem.*
