General Information

The position is to be filled at the Post of the MRC des Maskoutains.

Your role will consist of

  • Performing various administrative tasks to support your immediate supervisor in the daily management of the post's activities, including welcoming visitors, tracking administrative and unit management records, and providing support to unit personnel.
  • Conducting various secretarial activities, such as layout and production of various administrative and operational documents to facilitate the effective functioning of the unit.
  • Conducting interviews, data entry, and compilation, as well as producing criminal and traffic safety statistics.
  • Maintaining the classification of documents and post files, and proceeding with their destruction according to the retention schedule.
  • Ensuring that the unit has the necessary material resources to meet its needs.
  • Compensation:
  • $44,288 to $58,569*

Desired Profile and Application Procedures: Desired Profile: The incumbent must possess the following skills:

  • Tact, diplomacy, versatility, and initiative, given the regular contact with citizens, employees of other units of the Sûreté du Québec, or external organizations.
  • Judgment and method to effectively collaborate on the unit's work.
  • Discretion, given the confidential nature of the operational files entrusted to them.

Job Requirements

  • Hold a Professional Studies Diploma (DEP) in the field of secretarial work, administration, or any other relevant field, or a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
  • It is also eligible for the administrative support agent class, a candidate who:
  • Holds a Secondary School Diploma (DES) issued by the competent authority or a certificate of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;
  • Possesses one year of relevant experience in the duties of the administrative support agent class.

The candidacy of a person who is in the process of completing the last year of studies required to obtain the relevant DEP could be considered.

Each missing year of studies can be compensated by one year of relevant studies at the same or higher level as required.

Each missing year of studies from the Secondary School Diploma (DES) can be compensated by two years of paid or unpaid experience, including family caregiving.

Persons who have completed studies outside Canada must have a comparative evaluation of studies issued by the Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration to be considered.

  • Possess Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status, or a work permit issued by the competent federal authority to occupy the position.

A person pending the proof of their permanent resident status or a work permit may submit their candidacy to the present selection process. However, they must be authorized to work legally in Canada at the time of their appointment.

  • Have appropriate French language skills for the functions.
  • Condition to Occupy the Position:

The appointment to this position is conditional upon the results of a security check to demonstrate that no concerning elements regarding your morals are incompatible with the functions and duties of this position.
