As an Advisor, Benefits, Retirement and Leave Management, you will play a key role in achieving the objectives of the main Global Compensation, Technology and HR Integration department by supporting the administration and evolution of benefits, savings, disability, and absence programs.

You will join a team that plays a key role in the employee experience by ensuring the quality, integrity, and governance of HR data throughout the employee journey, as well as supporting the administration of global compensation programs for over 10,000 employees in Canada and the United States. This team also contributes to numerous strategic projects aimed at optimizing processes, improving the employee experience, and evolving global compensation and benefits programs within the organization.

What you will accomplish with us

As an Advisor, Benefits, Retirement and Leave Management, you will be at the heart of our mission. Here are the main responsibilities:

  • Ensure the proper functioning of the administration of North American benefits and absence programs in Workday, perform the required corrections, and act as a level 3 resource person for the benefits administration team.
  • Actively participate in the annual North American processes, including collective insurance renewal, vacation cashing out, and bonuses, as well as take charge of the planning, organization, and facilitation of the associated presentations.
  • Analyze the feasibility of requests raised by VPTC partners and perform tests in Workday for the various solutions offered by the STRH team, including the two annual updates (Releases).
  • Collaborate in Workday SME meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes related to benefits, retirement, and leave management.
  • Accompany employees in their transition to retirement by providing them with the necessary support, information, and guidance throughout the process.

  • We are looking for a person who:
  • Is recognized for their autonomy, diligence, and ability to manage their files with minimal supervision, while actively contributing to the team's results.
  • Stands out for their solid expertise in benefits administration and leave management, as well as their good knowledge of the Benefits and Absence modules in Workday.
  • Demonstrates a great analytical capacity, an innovative spirit, and an aptitude to challenge the status quo in order to identify effective and adapted solutions to complex issues.
  • Is recognized for their customer service mindset, communication skills, tact, diplomacy, listening skills, and ability to accompany different partners in an ever-evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, as well as a minimum of 10 years of experience in benefits administration. Knowledge of American benefits is an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of French and English languages since the person will be required to communicate daily, by email and phone, with French and English-speaking employees, clients, suppliers, and partners across Canada in the context of the administration of benefits, retirement, and leave management programs.
