Roles and Responsibilities
What you will do
- Document development stories in Jira
- Understand, analyze, and validate requirements from the team, collaborating closely with analysts, architect, technical lead, business product owner (RPA), and/or users, and recommend suitable solutions
- Ensure the development, testing, and iterative deployment of features
- Enhance existing BI solutions by proposing improvements, automations, or optimizations
- Participate in monitoring daily processes and address any resulting anomalies (bugs)
- Contribute to the stability and performance of analytical solutions
- Write and update necessary technical documentation for the understanding, development, operation, and maintenance of data solutions
- Perform functional analysis tasks as needed (clarifying requirements, translating into technical requirements)
- Qualities Required for Success in This Role
Skills and Knowledge Related to the Position
Technologies/Tools Required: Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, SQL, and Python, Power BI, Jira, and Confluence.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the role
- Excellent knowledge of data engineering and modeling best practices
- Excellent knowledge of the Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory platforms, their features, and Azure DevOps for source code and branching management
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and Python programming languages
- Good knowledge of ETL concepts, the medal architecture, and data ingestion and exposure processes in a cloud analytics context
- Good knowledge of distributed data processing concepts, Spark, and Big Data
- Good knowledge of Python libraries, their usage, and how to create new ones for reuse purposes
- Good knowledge of MLOps tools, the lifecycle of AI solutions, and related concepts
- Knowledge of Agile processes within a DevOps work cell and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Experience working with VS Code or another text editor (an asset)
- Ability to interpret technical requirements related to deliverables and provide a high-performance, stable, and quality data solution
- Ability to suggest improvement paths for existing solutions to enhance them
- Strong technical leadership in your area of expertise to drive the team towards designing cutting-edge analytical solutions.

CGI offers a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. The calculation of this range depends on various factors, including skill level, geographic market, experience, education, and professional licenses and certifications. Salary decisions depend on the particulars of each case. A reasonable estimate of this salary range is between $75,000 to $120,000. This position is a future opportunity.
