The Laurentians Housing Office plays a crucial role in the development and management of affordable and social housing for families and seniors in the region. With a real estate portfolio of 1,117 low-cost rental units (HLM) spread across 75 buildings in 20 municipalities, as well as nearly 800 subsidized private units (PSL), the Office contributes significantly to improving the quality of life in its community.

To ensure the continuity of its activities, the Laurentians Housing Office is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Finance Director on a temporary basis.

Under the authority of the general management, the person holding the position plans, organizes, directs, and controls all financial activities of the Office. They ensure the sound management of financial resources, budgetary tracking, financial information production, and compliance with the guidelines established by the Quebec Housing Corporation (SHQ) and various government agencies.

They also act as an advisor to the general management and the board of directors regarding the organization's financial issues.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure the budgetary control of the organization;
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, financial reports, and required financial disclosures;
• Produce the financial analyses necessary for the decision-making of the general management and the board of directors;
• Lead the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external auditors;
• Prepare monthly financial reports, explain discrepancies, and recommend appropriate adjustments;
• Evaluate the financial impacts of contracts, agreements, and major construction projects;
• Ensure the management of liquidity and tracking of government remittances;
• Ensure compliance with SHQ's financial, policy, and regulatory requirements;
• Maintain an effective and organization-specific internal control system;
• Develop and track financial performance indicators;
• Participate in management meetings and support the organization's strategic planning;
• Supervise the staff under their responsibility and promote their professional development;
• Perform any other tasks related to their functions.

QUALIFICATION PROFILE

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, administration, or a relevant discipline;
• CPA designation, *an important asset*;
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant experience in a financial management position;
• Excellent knowledge of financial accounting, budgeting, and internal controls;
• Good knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to public or quasi-public organizations;
• Knowledge of the social housing sector, *an asset*;
• Motivational leadership;

• Judgment and autonomy;
• Excellent relational skills and ability to work in a team.

WORK CONDITIONS

• Temporary full-time (35 hours/week) position, of indeterminate duration, in the context of a sick leave replacement;
• Also, the possibility of working 3 to 5 days/week;
• Hourly wage based on experience and SHQ norms;
• Flexible schedule spread over 4.5 days, with a weekend finish by Friday noon;

• Salary: $52,800.00 to $76,425.00 per year
