GardaWorld is looking for several security agents to start a new cohort of security agents at Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Are you passionate about security and looking to work in a stimulating environment? If so, being a security agent at the airport is perfect for you!
The Airport Surveillance Officer ensures that the equipment of handlers is parked in designated areas, does not interfere with operations, and that activities on the airport premises are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. They perform patrols, communicate regularly with concerned parties, monitor ongoing work, and apply specific procedures established by operations.
Main Task - Equipment Management
Monitor and control the equipment of handlers (carts, stairs, tractors, etc.) in the Controlled Evolution Zone (ZEC), Staging, and GSE/vehicle parking areas to ensure they are parked in designated areas and do not interfere with airport operations.
- Report and follow up on any equipment non-compliance with the concerned companies and supervisors.
- Perform preventive checks on ADM equipment provided to trackside partners (Electric charging stations, Express ramp...)
- Apply defined tolerance rules (e.g., Echo Parking – only one stair allowed for Samsic, TS, AC).
Daily Operations
- Perform a daily routine tour including checking equipment zones (Controlled Evolution Zone – ZEC), Staging, parking areas, charging stations, and visually inspecting the Express ramp, reporting any anomalies.
- Follow up and communicate with concerned companies.
- Prioritize requests according to directives, particularly those from Air supervisors.
- Provide support to Ground Maintenance (e.g., marking, snow removal, logistical assistance).
- Collect FOD (Foreign Object Debris) and report abandoned equipment.
- Apply specific procedures:
- o Strong winds procedure (control of ADM and partner equipment).
- o Spill management (use of the kit provided in the vehicle).
- o Any other procedure established by ADM Air Operations.
- Monitor ongoing work and affected areas: ensure that work does not interfere with operations and that handlers do not interfere with the work.
- Report any unusual situations that could interfere with operations or pose a risk to air safety.
Reports and Communication
- Call the supervisor at the start of each shift.
- Complete incident reports via FORMS – minimum 10 per shift.
- Write and submit end-of-shift reports.
- Use the Teams group for exchanges with ADM and document consultation and sharing.
- Complete the charging station file daily (morning shift).
- Report any anomalies to the CCO (Operations Control Center) (e.g., charger failure, Express ramp damage).
Collaboration and Support
- Follow up and communicate with concerned companies.
- Provide support to Ground Maintenance (e.g., marking, snow removal, logistical assistance).
- Prioritize requests according to directives, particularly those from Air supervisors.
Job Requirements
- Ability to work autonomously and manage priorities.
- Good written and oral communication skills in French (reports, exchanges with supervisors and companies). Good oral communication in English.
- Observation skills and rigor in applying procedures.
- Comfortable with computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Knowledge of airport security protocols (asset).
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive on airport premises. (AVOP DA / AVOP D).
- Available 24/7 from Monday to Sunday.

- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.

- Security agent license (BSP).
- Workplace first aid certificate (RCR).
- Intermediate English level.
- Comfortable working outdoors.
- Previous experience in security and the aviation sector is considered an asset.
