For full-time employees

- Purpose of the job
Under the responsibility of the Director, Finance, the holder of this position sees to the continuous improvement of their activities and the mobilization of their staff. They ensure the integrity, rigor, and compliance with the standards in the accounting practices used. They make recommendations taking into account the best interests of the company, relative to the business processes used and the results obtained.
Main responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for the accounting process;
- Supervise the accounting team, recruit, evaluate, guide, and motivate their team;
- Direct the production and follow-up of financial reports, reports to management, and reports to various financial institutions;
- Prepare and design financial analyses as well as performance analyses and provide feedback to the company's managers;
- Highlight the relevant discrepancies between the budget and the actual, explain them, and make recommendations to improve performance;
- Supervise the weekly management of the treasury;
- Ensure the development and respect of controls within the company;
- Ensure the accuracy and respect of deadlines in the production of tax returns and monthly and annual financial statements;
- Supervise the entire preparation of the annual audit file; prepare certain more complex sections and be the main person involved with the external auditors;
- Supervise the preparation of the annual budget of all group companies. Ensure compliance with deadlines with the involved managers;
- Ensure that all group companies comply with the various legislations relating to the administrative aspects of business. Ensure that the payment of taxes and taxes is made according to the requirements and in respect of the deadlines of the various organizations;
- Assume responsibility for government verifications.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent);
- Chartered Accountant title an asset;
- Five to ten years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience in retail trade (an asset);
- Bilingualism essential, written and oral (The person will have to communicate with external suppliers).
