Manufacturing Engineer Technician

PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Technical and Automation Coordinator, the incumbent of this position is responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, programming and supporting automated equipment, analyzing and resolving technical issues, and contributing to the continuous improvement of performance, production flows, and automated systems, as well as performing any other tasks related to their functions when necessary.

YOUR ROLE

• Optimize process parameters (temperature, cycle time, pressure, etc.)
• Program equipment
• Support production setup and startup by providing increased presence on the production line
• Analyze technical issues related to processes and propose solutions
• Support production teams with technical challenges
• Contribute to process improvement with a focus on performance and robustness
• Evaluate production capacity based on automated equipment
• Conduct layout studies based on the implementation of automated systems
• Initiate actions to improve flow and coordinate their implementation
• Improve and standardize existing systems for measurement, control, and tracking
• Analyze and interpret performance variations and implement corrective actions.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• DEC in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other relevant education
• Experience in a production environment or process improvement
• Knowledge of computer systems, including Excel and production tracking software
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate
• Autonomy in task execution and initiative
• Experience in manufacturing processes (thermoforming is an asset)

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Full-time permanent position.
