Draftsperson / Industrial Designer

PURPOSE

Under the supervision of the Technical and Automation Coordinator, the incumbent of this position designs and models innovative products in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, using advanced design tools to ensure their aesthetics, performance, and quality.

YOUR ROLE

• Digitizing large pieces using a 3D scanner.
• Managing 3D scans and reverse engineering for robotic programming as well as producing drawings for marketing.
• Modeling in 3D (Surface) and producing precise 2D drawings to bring new concepts to life and ensure their feasibility.
• Creating presentations and concept specification files for client presentation. Contributing to the development of aesthetic, ergonomic, functional, and compliance-related recommendations.
• Preparing, publishing, reviewing, and maintaining design documentation, including specifications, material definition documents, sample folders, supplier documentation, and project deliverables.
• Actively participating in all stages of development, from concept creation to final drawing production and production.
• Creating realistic environments and visual content including 3D marketing renders, animations, videos, and interactive presentations.

PROFILE REQUIRED

• College diploma (DEC) in industrial design, mechanical engineering, 3D drafting, or equivalent.
• Excellent mastery of surface modeling on SolidWorks.
• Reading CAD plans and technical drawings.
• You have a minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of experience in a relevant field.
• You are a team player, adapt easily to changes, and customer satisfaction is your top priority.
